"IRODORI"Nagura Stone & Whetstone should be kept wet throughout the sharpening process by sprinkling with water,which acts as a lubricant on the stone. After setting Whetstone in unmoved condition, rub the whetstone with Nagura stone equally(moving forward and backward) and slurry will appear soon, but do not wash or wipe off this slurry then start sharpening.
