I’m having a huge clear out and have reluctantly decided to sell my beautiful cookie jar. I bought this old jar in Connecticut in 2012 - I was told at the time because of its size it probably sat on a store counter and that it dates from the 1930,s/40’s The thick glass is ribbed and the word “Cookies” is embossed into a label style window on the front. The jar comes complete with its original galvanised metal screw lid that makes a gratifying and very nostalgic scraping sound when you open and close it. Incredibly there is nothing at all to note that could be described as damage. At 12” tall and just under 6” over the base the jar is an absolutely unique and rare survivor and I know its new buyer will be absolutely delighted with it.
