I have tested that it works as it should using my HP2570 laptop (Windows 7) and a Samsung 27" monitor with a USB cabled mouse and a Logitech Unify wireless keyboard (see pictures with it on the corner of a desk with the screen in the background - CPU1 screen on, CPU2 screen off).
