Used KDM 700 DME as removed from a 1973 Cessna 177B that I own. I have no tested this unit in flight to know how it works. I replaced everything with newer equipment and did not fly with this unit for very long. I believe it is in working condition as when I turned on the power to my DME equipment my gauges the gauge would count upwards and max out at 99.9 but I never actually tuned a station and tracked it.
