Antique jewellery box for cufflinks. There is visible wear on the outside and inside of the box. Red velvet base is worn in places, with visible metal edges as well. The silk lining on the inside of the lid is thinning/ripped in places, as seen in the photos; the jeweller's name is only partially visible.
