Pressure bleed/hold button allows the user to operate the gauge more easily at the valve, taking a reading without having to juggle the gauge into a visible position while holding it to the valve. Simply press the chuck onto the valve, the pressure reading is held in the gauge, note the pressure, then release the air with the button as you require.
