Exceptional ancient Medieval artefact sword part very similar to broad sword most likely Scottish combatants an heavy iron weight pommel 458g sadly holding part (foolishly broken by myself in picture four, can be glued by new owner but left as is) with once decorative circular disc end going through to circular or oblong/rectangular quillion to part handle part severed in Antiquity, artefact has been sympathetically professionally de-cruded of excess rust and is now very stable kept in right conditions, found by my late Father in the 1960s on the fields adjacent to the river Swale and bridge at Myton-on-Swale. L149s NB. Will place templates in cardboard in with lot.
