It is virtually dent resistant and highly scratch resistant. Safety wise tungsten rings will not crush or bend out of round against your finger. So for example if you accidentally shut your hand in a car door, drop a heavy object on it, etc, then the tungsten ring is likely to fracture/shatter into several pieces and fall off your finger freely.
