This item was made for Kombi-rak side loading roof-racks (originally designed for VW California) as an aerodynamic seal for the crossbar T-slot. Material is EPDM and can easily be cut to length to suit application.If you are fitting a roof-rack system, then the rubber strip can be cut to fit, but rather than cutting the strip short, the excess length can be folded underneath and tucked into the loading window (see photos).
