Being a natural stone product it may have sharp edges/corners and imperfections which will make them look more rustic and does not have a smooth shiny finish. Slate absorbs water. As we are using engraving technology (slightly digging into the product until changing the texture and colour) not printing, that makes the writing look faded when gets wet.
