In the 70s the Vans were adopted by Californian skateboarders who appreciate these colourful, wear-resistant, sneakers with soles that stick to the grip of their boards. In 1975 Vans exploded with the release of the inevitable "Era" designed by skate stars Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta, then in 1979 with the release of the "Slip-on" developed in collaboration with riders from different horizons (skateboard/BMX).
