This wedding basket was designed for considerable weight with a handle and attached ring, allowing it to be carried on a pole balanced by another basket of comparable weight. The original hand- painted still- l i f es of fish and fruit on the lid and on one side, with a landscape and paper lanterns on the other side, are outstanding and in very good condition.
