This vintage Civil war grave marker/flag holder is 26" long and made of cast iron. The marker features a star design and is likely associated with Post 130 of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), a powerful veterans' group that worked to preserve the Union and protect the rights of former soldiers. Please note that the tip of one star point is missing broken off, and there is an old repair where the top was re-welded to the post.
