As a child I lived in East Africa, I’m fairly sure this is bovine bone carved in Kenya, potentially on the Somali border. The reason being it’s something I remember seeing craft men make. Especially the hand carved barrel clasp. I believe it’s 1960’s. I particularly admire the lace carving edge to the main pendant. Quite a long necklace.
