Oval track Scotty's have a "clean", non-eared cavity, basically a rectangle with softened corners. The dog-eared ones are the regular cavity, where the top 2 corners have the pointed angles' coming down an 1/8" or so. Another difference is that the Oil Can Newport is the only Newport with 'CAMERON' on both sides of the neck
