Most likely very early state of the map by Louis Capitaine du Chesne (c.1749-1797) from La Rochefoucauld-Liancourt's Voyage dans les Etats Unis d'Amerique fait en 1795, 1796 et 1797, possibly a test/sample print. We assume the plate is the same as the one used for the published map, which suffered some changes before reaching its final state.
