The coin was minted between 337-340 AD, during the reign of Constantine II. The reverse features two soldiers holding a staff, spears, and shields (Gloria Exercitas). The eldest son of Constantine the Great and Fausta, Constantine II was born in Arles in February 316 and raised as a Christian.
