This is a heavy and substantial piece weighing almost 32 g. The length of the chain part of the bracelet is approximately 18cm. It bears full hallmarks to the padlock: a makers mark of G S, a Birmingham assay mark, the lion passant for sterling silver and a date letter of D for 1978. The chain of the bracelet also has a stamp of GS , a Birmingham assay mark and the date letter on one of the links. The bracelet is in good condition but with wear commensurate with age. The safety chain is present and well attached and the padlock clasp works very well. The padlock has some scratches and signs of wear. These are not terribly noticeable with the naked eye but can be seen through a loupe and when camera is zoomed in. See photos.
