The product hardens in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents it from loosening and leaks caused by shocks and vibrations. Particularly suitable for adjusting set screws or screws with small diameters or long threads (e.g. screws on maintenance openings, carburettor screws, etc.) that require easy disassembly without shearing the screw. Also well suited for use on metals that could break during disassembly (e.g. aluminum or brass). Due to its thixotropic behavior, LOCTITE® 222 reduces migration of the liquid product after application to the comp.
