Vintage mid-century framed print Sarai at the court of Pharaoh. By Abel Pann (Pfeffermann), Latvian Jewish Israeli painter (1883-1963). Purchased in Israel in the early 1950s by my grandfather. Framed in gold wood with light matte and metallic gold border. Triangle ring hangers on back but needs wire for hanging. Frame: 17 3/8" x 16 15/16". Visible art: 10 3/4" x 11 1/4". Inspired by the biblical passage in Genesis where Abram (Abraham) tells his wife Sarai (Sarah) to say she is his sister. Condition: Frame has light wear and marks, chipped at one lower side at back edge. Faint marks on matte. Print has a few minor creases but is well matted and framed. Slightly greenish hue, age toning. See photos.
