A full size spare wheel is becoming increasingly rare to find in the boots of newly manufactured cars. Recent surveys suggest that only one third of cars on sale in the UK now carry a full size spare and if you are buying a Ford, Honda, Volvo, Mini or Jaguar you won't find a standard spare at all.
