These garage door openers typically had a red, orange or purple learn button on the back of the garage door opener that is used to program the remotes with. A good sign that the safety sensor beams are bad provided that they are aligned is when you can open the garage door opener normally but not close it unless you hold down the wall button until the door is fully closed.
