An amazing racketeer 1883 v nickel. Reeded edge and all, with real nice signs of circulation and possibly ex jewelry..Absolutely one of the nicer ones I've personally seen. The history on these coins: back in 1883, the US mint released these nickels, people discovered a way to turn them into $5 gold pieces, plated them gold and cut the edges to look reeded like genuine gold coins. The mint fixed this by changing "e pluribus unum" on the reverse, to "cents" to better differentiate them.
