Beautiful old master oil on canvas a large work in a carved wood frame. It looks to be Flemish or Italian dating to the 18th or 19th century. The horse has a van dyke style to him and the painting is very detailed with lots of people and animals I can see elephants and camels which is unusual. There is lots of condition issues with the painting so please look at the pictures carefully, although the paint is not flaking. I think if the varnish was removed it would reveal a far more detailed painting but from what I can see it’s very well painted and clearly took a long time. I cannot see a signature on the painting there could be one under the varnish or if removed from the frame.
