Trick Pony cast iron bank which is a popular mechanical coin bank known for its clever design and playful action. When a coin is placed in the pony's mouth and the lever at back of base is pulled, the pony tips its head down, depositing the coin into a hidden trough and then returning to its upright position. It’s a reproductions of a Victorian-era design made in Taiwan probably in the 80’s (could be earlier) due to the faded colours and finish it looks much older and is a lovely decorative piece. As you can see original plug missing from base.
