These are SAS drives, so only work on a SAS controller. They were originally NetApp drives but have been reformatted for normal use. I bought them as used drives and I've used them a little but have since switched to other options so these are surplus to my requirements. I expect they could be formatted back for NetApp functions or used as normal SAS drives. I had no issues with them and they've been fully formatted without any errors. I have 3 of these Hitachi models.
