This original case is designed for the Thorens TD 160 turntable. The case has been enlarged by 5mm on each side and finished with a natural Red Ebony veneer. The enlarged case allows for a free-standing dust cover, available on eBay. The case is equipped with a gold plated power cord socket and a brand name plaque, and also has new insulating feet. The turntable pictured is not for sale. The case has been modified to accommodate other Thorens models, such as the TD166 (as pictured), or the TD165 or similar.
