The Akai CR80D-SS is capable of recording 4 channel discrete tapes (quadraphonic), as well as standard 2 channel (stereo). This 8 track player/recorder has been repaired, all controls have been cleaned, the playback/record head has been aligned and demagnetized, blue LEDs have been installed, all levels have been set to Akai standards, and a new vinyl veneer has been applied to the wood cabinet.
