Original Challenge Hi-Speed quoin (model H43), approximately 6 inches in length. Used in traditional letterpress printing to lock up type, plates, and furniture securely within a chase. Manufactured by Challenge Machinery Co., Grand Haven, Michigan, USA. Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age and light surface wear as shown in photos. I do not have a quoin key, so the expansion mechanism has not been tested. Sold as seen. Ideal for use with Adana, Chandler & Price, and other letterpress presses.
