With this adapter ring any 82mm filter or other accessory can be used on lenses with a 58mm filter thread. Fit the 82mm filter or other accessory to the adaptor ring female thread. Mount the 58mm male thread of the adaptor ring on to a lens with a 49mm filter thread.
