This is a beautiful spindle back child's chair, possibly made for a school, by Fischel of Niémes, formerly in Bohemia in Austria. It is now part of the Czech Republic. The paper label would suggest that the chair was made between 1906 and 1913 I believe. Fischel were famous for their bentwood chairs and their designs were influenced by Michael Thonet. Collection from ME17 area of Maidstone.
