The Fluorite crystal is up to 11mm, shows as purple in natural light, and a more muted grey-purple in artificial light. As is typical of most Weardale Fluorites, there is a difference in colour between natural and artificial light due to its property of fluorescing under UV light and the pictures show the crystal under both types of light for comparison (the last 11 photos are in natural light).
