Aperture blades have a little oil on them which is very common out of the factory they were made. The lens has mint optics, the focus and aperture are brilliant. I have extensively tested the lens and can confirm it makes no difference at all to the use of the lens because the ring is securely screwed to the barrel and doesn't move at all during use.
