There also may be traces of the nacre left in the inner spiral and you may catch red or green flashes of opal within the chambers. Great for making ammonite pendants or necklaces too! Each fossil is cleaned as much as I can with my available tools (I'll be getting an air scribe soon so I can clean up my fossils even more), making a neat little piece of history you can hold in your hand.
