This sale is a City Plan of Gibraltar Spain. (Identified as such because that is how it was categorized during the war.) This is a first edition, developed by the US Army Map Service as part of the war effort. The map was printed in August 1943. It is based on British Admiralty Chart No. 144, corrected to 1942 and RAF aerial photography. Also included is the catalog card for the map, which gives detail on the map. The map is a 18" x 28" and is at a scale of 1:12,500. It identifies some buildings, port and cultural features. This map is suitable for framing and guaranteed original.
