Original rod coating is perfect, had NOT been re-coated. We acquired a years ago, originated from a pen repair shop. We applied a bit of silicone to the threading to test the threading of the cone nut. New, never installed. You will obviously need to provide the seal and filler knob / blind cap retainer nut.
