A highly collectable iron padlock with key. Patented No. 4789. Galvanised iron with brass plate. Integral chain (20" galvanised) for use on cycles and gates. A heavy item. 1920's. To open: Insert key and turn clockwise to release bolt. To close: Remove key, insert chain and push in side catch. Any link can be placed in the lock to adjust the chain length. 54.8mm width x 72.6mm height. 427g in weight including the key. Clean.
