This original Francis search light is a rare statement piece, a liitle gem with multiple possible uses outside maritime settings. It could be used for architectural lighting, or garden lighting. It is a 9inch diameter /230mm Francis search light built for royal navy craft by Francis in Bolton, complete with original paintwork, it has been carefully stored away in its original unused condition. It is cast in naval Bronze and painted but with light stripping it could easily polished to a metallic finish if preferred. This model has the through deck, water tight, gland assembly with tilt control of the external light via the operating handle within the wheel house, so can be operated remotely from within, no need to go outside when its wet !
