‘A Field of Poppies’ was produced by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt in 1907 whilst he was living in the village of Unterach on the southern shore of lake Attersee in Austria. The lush vegetation of the village influenced Klimt to produce this bright canvas filled with shades of green, blue and yellow which enhance the vibrant red of the poppies.
