For sale two (2) ancient Jambi Lion Coins. Found in Jambi, Central Sumatera, Indonesia. Probably strucked by local Jambi Kingdom circa 11th-14th century. Not known who ruled this area of Jambi at this time. Probably Chola empire? Or Srivijaya? Made from Bronze/Copper. Unsual shape. Obverse: lion looking left, Reverse: lion head with flag/umbrella? Rare and not properly studied. Ref W9.
