When the charger is plugged in it makes this really high pitched whining noise coming from the black cube part. The GPS powers on no problem but I don't know what's up with the charging cord. I'll send it with it but it'll probably need replaced or fixed. Not sure if it'll charge the device but it does power it on when plugged in
