Manufactured in the George III period. Bilstons painted enamel wear was considered the finest of its kind. Made from soft white enamel covering a copper ground with hand painted decoration. Some restoration, mainly to the bottom joint which was always a weak point of design. Chips to bobeche as seen in photos. All Bilstons items have some damage as the enamel was so easily chipped.
