Very practical and robust design - physical switches and dials makes it very responsive and intuitive to use. Take 4xAA batteries but i believe it can be powered externally via USB-mini, do research on this please. Uses SD card for storage. Quick tightening 1/4" thread dial on top fixes to camera. Tripod plate can be attached 1/4" socket on base. Screen has useful backlight.
