Stamped on the back “T. Elsley Ltd, London”. Thomas Elsley was a British manufacturer of decorative cast iron works. Antique Victorian, late 19th century, cast iron fire back. There are three open fixing holes at the top and four more at the bottom that could be drilled out if desired to enable secure wall mounting.
