A magnificent duplex oil lamp consisting of a heavy cut glass and green enamelled font mounted on a large reeded brass column with a Corinthian capitol top and a cast brass stepped base which also has a cast iron insert making it very heavy.The lamp has been stripped, cleaned and polished, there are no flaws in the glassware and the burner has been overhauled, polished and rewicked. The Vesta shade is an original with its rolled top and this is also in perfect condition. The shade support ring is sturdy and is original to the lamp. The chimney is a round English type.
