The join is properly made and heatshrinked - you can just see it on the photo. The BOSS GT-6 Multi Fx Guitar Pedal is a high-quality digital effects pedal manufactured by Boss in Japan. It does sound very good still - tried it with my electric to make sure it still was OK.
