Photograph Notes: A small inflatable is the first boat to venture out into the tidal waters of the River Avon from the Howard lock that separates the Bristol Floating Harbour from the river. The gates are still moving and are not fully open as the muddy waters of the tidal reach mix with the clearer waters of the floating harbour.
