A stunning George III mahogany campaign or travellers chest with fitted interior. Believed to date around 1820, the hinged top reveals various compartments for toiletries plus a rising mirror and a wash basin. The item is in great condition, but shows signs of its 200 year age and travelling history - some light marks shown on the lid which have long been polished over. The feet are not thought to be the original removable travelling feet, but look to be mahogany replacements fitted long ago.
