Vintage South American 800 Silver Bombilla Straining/Drinking Spoon/ Straw.
To prepare, a quantity of tea-leaves are crushed and then poured into the teacup – and then hot (but not boiling) water is poured on top. The bombilla is inserted, and once the tea has brewed, it may be drunk out of the cup using the bombilla.
