This turntable works mechanically but will need a new stylus. Now, it is housed in a heavy wooden box with a hinged lid. There is an amplifier in the box but obviously not original but it does power up and all the valves light up So I presume it does work. there are also two speakers in the box but not connected to anything. THE SALE IS FOR THE TURNTABLE, THE AMP ETC WILL JUST BE THROWN IN AS IT IS FIXED IN THE BOX. MIGHT BE A GOOD PROJECT FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS SOME ELECTROÑICS EXPERIENCE. ON THIS BASIS IT IS SOLD AS SEEN .
